How do I use Rest to change the document that displays on my home page?

I am trying to write python to use Rest and change the word editor-in-lin-macro that is displayed on my home page.

Currently users can drag and drop new word or excel files into the macro for word editor showing on the home page.

After attaching a new file I would like to be able to go to the page and change the file that is displayed to the file that was just recently attached.

Is there any way to do this with REST API and Python using OAuth?

I am wondering if the attachment cannot be simply updated with the same name and it should make a new version and then it would update also on a page.

Anyway it should be possible to achieve that with no problem with Python and rest api
