How do I create a Space category as the administrator but not the sysadmin?

I cannot create a space cateogry as the administrator. The documentation says I should go to browse --> space admin but I do not have space admin as an option. It appears the sysadmin has confluence admin rights but I have no idea who that even is....I would like to do this as the administrator - I can gonfigure everything else.

Hi Andrea,

You don't need sysadmin permission in order to see the space admin menu, however you do need to have the correct space permissions. Whoever created the space needs to add you to the space admin permission, check out the following documentation for more information:
