I was editing a document in the Atlassian space, I wanted to add a workflow but I didn't have that option

There is not really an option in native Confluence to add workflows like they exist in Jira.
What are you trying to accomplish? What type of document where you editing? Can you share a (redacted) screenshot to help us understand the issue better?
