I series of pages that are regularly maintained by the developer team. This is not done in Confluence at the moment, but I would like generate Confluence content for the Knowledge Base, based on the snapshot of the html pack.
How could this be done with the built-in tooling?

There used to be some options - but they focus on Server rather on Cloud (for example the HTML macro).
For Confluence Cloud there are Apps from Marketplace - you could review them if they suit your needs.
