How are results weighted to be shown in quick navigation aid?

It seems that in standard case some maximum number of items is shown per content category (pages, users, attachments, spaces).

How are the search result selected to this maximum number?

E.g. 20 pages are actually found, but only a maximum of six pages is shown: Why are these six pages shown and not any of the 14 other results?

Hi Michael,

I believe you're asking how the content is ranked in search results. I think Ranking of search results should help.

This ranking should apply to both the Quick Navigation Aid and the Full Site Search.

Thanks Dhyana, didn't find that page myself :-)
