Has Confluence's Auto Formatting changed?

Hi all,

I use the cloud version of Confluence and went in today to create a new page (first time since xmas) and h1. doesn't work.

 

I bring up the contextual help and it tells me that # is now H1 and ## is H2 etc.. 

Is this some kind of late/early April fools joke?

Hi Rex,

Unfortunately it's probably not a joke. Confluence Cloud seems to be moving away from wiki format and closer to Markdown (at least that's what they mentioned in the Summit last year). I don't see why they couldn't keep them both, though.
