Hi. Currently, i'm having trouble with testing giving restriction on the confluence page using rest api.

For now, I figured out that giving restriction rest api function is only available after confluence 8.8 version. -> Thats why my error code is 405.

Yes. It would be easy to simply upgrade the confluence version. But, my domain(data center)'s confluence version upgrade process takes tons of time to upgrade it.

Is there any other method to give restriction with api rather than rest api? Or Is there any method to breakthrough this error?

My confluence version is 8.5.18. Thanks.

Yep, you found the solution to the problem.... upgrade to Confluence DC v8.8.0 or higher.
