Getting Error When Select Searched For User

We have a new starter who has been given access to Confluence and their account has been set up and is active.  When I try to search for this user, they are returned in the search results but as soon as I click on that user I get an error.  Please can someone help as I need to tag this user on various Confluence pages but am unable to as when I use the @ and start to type in their name, they are not returned.  Thanks.

We may need to have a deeper look at your Cloud site. For that, you can raise a ticket with our Cloud support team provided you're a site admin or one of the primary contacts. If you have any trouble, please let me know, and I can help get the ticket created.
