Hi Community,
my company would like to push a new policy that a certain template should be used for all pages (from certain or even all spaces -> very few exceptions).
I was therefore wondering if there is a possibility to set a default template for either the entire Confluence instance or at least certain spaces?
The goal would be that the users do not start with an empty page rather with a template that already has a header (RACI) where certain attributes need to be filled in before they can create their actual content below.
And secondly, I am also wondering how existing pages should best be handled? Do you have any suggestions in how we can make the existing pages steadily transform into the new company template?
Obviously we are going to inform the users upfront and be transparent why we are doing this change and how to handle it etc.
Curious what is possible and thank you in advance!
Cheers,
Simon
There is no way to do this yet.
I'd love Confluence to have a default template function, so that when someone clicks create, it doesn't give them a blank page.
I'd start with a global setting, but that wouldn't work for larger sites, so I would
The closest request I can find to vote on is https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-45607
Thanks for your response @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- , watching and voted for your linked request.
Are you perhaps aware of any App that can provide such functionality for Confluence Cloud?

There's no way for an app to do that on Cloud (apps that "skin" Confluence on DC can do it, as they're free to modify most of the UI, but Cloud doesn't allow that)

Is it possible to hide "Blank Page" option for selected spaces in Create dialog? Maybe using Scriptrunner for Confluence and Fragments?

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- Could you please share the app name which can skin confluence UI? I think it will help us achieve the same goal as Simon.

I usually use Themebuilder, but I believe a couple of others you'll find under https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?product=confluence&query=theme may be able to do it as well.
