Figma for Confluence Cloud?

Jon Gross October 3, 2018

I would like to link a frame in Figma to a Confluence page.  The goal is to have the Figma design visible in our developer documentation without cutting and pasting images. Is there a way to do this?

I see the 'Figma for Jira Cloud' add-on but not 'Confluence for Jira Cloud'.

Hi Jon,

I think we built exactly what you need: an app that allows you to embed Figma files in Confluence. It actually detects Figma URLs too, right inside your editor. Have a look: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1221692/figma-embed-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Cheers,

Hi Jari,

When i paste the figma link, the preview doesn't work and nothing can be seen. I don't know what i am doing wrong. Pressing on the link opens the correct figma file and frame but the preview i not visible.

Thanks for your reply,

cheers,

jorge

Hi @Jari (OLD ACCOUNT), I'm also having trouble with the app. After following the steps to install and provide a key, the app freezes on this screen: Screenshot 2020-05-11 09.10.34.png

@Jörg Mathis Hi there Jörg - the screenshot you've attached is not a screenshot of our application. If you are however having issues with Figma for Confluence, it's easiest to reach out via https://collabsoft.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/5 - where we can dive into your specific issue and help you out.

@Denny Hi there Denny, we'd love to help out via our Service Desk portal to figure out what could be the cause of this issue, please refer to https://collabsoft.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/5 and we'll make sure to be right back with you to look into it!

Thanks @Jari (OLD ACCOUNT) I'll follow up on the service desk 👍

Hi Jon,

Depending on how Figma can provide it's content, you might be able to embed your Figma objects into Confluence by using the iFrame Macro.

I found this Medium Article that provides another way of embedding Figma in Confluence by using an HTML Macro, however as those are not natively available in the Confluence Cloud Environment, you'd need a 3rd Party App (like HTML Macro for Confluence or Macro Toolbox) to replicate the results.

Cheers,
Shawn
