Hi,

How to set up a 1 hour idle session duration and an 8 hour of Identity verification frequency for external users? I am using the Guard...

For the external users, there is no other policy as I see as the "external users policy". They are not part of the "Users in local directory" of course.

For the external users, I cannot see a way to enforce an idle session timeout. I see only the option for the identity verification at given intervals.

Important: the external sessions will be closed, so the users are losing work when forced to re-verify!

Thanks for the help, Tamas

Hi @Tamas Hajdu

You can't as you are not in control of these users.

:-/ I see. But the Data is mine. So it is strange, that I can set a session logout and re-verify, but I cannot set an idle-session expire.

In My point of view is the session state an application property to set, and is independent of the user base...

The problem stays then, that they must be logged off every 2 hours for example, as there is no way to control the idle session time.

:-) i will try a feature request then. For a sensible working environment a re-verification of  a Week is realistic, with the idle session limiter depending on the data sensitivity. Like 4 Hours or a Day.
