Exporting to PDF generates HTTP Status 500 error

Exporting a given space to PDF results in "HTTP Status 500 - Internal Server Error"; this is new as of 27 Oct 2023, Central European Time.

Hi Dan, hi Oliver, it is now working again this morning. Just to clarify, I was using the export function in Space settings > Export space > Export Formats "PDF" > Custom Export, and not the Export function in the dropdown menu available at the upper right of a page.

The space I'm using isn't particularly large, although when testing my CSS at the beginning of my work I accidentally exported the entire space, which was large - and it was OK.

This must have been resolved server-side soon after I posted if you (Dan) were able to successfully export.

Thanks for responding!

Same problem here since today, also PDF export of single pages does not work anymore:

Workaround: If the PDF-stylesheet config is removed, the export works.

Hi Timothy, welcome to the community.  I'm able to export a space without any issues so it doesn't appear to be a system wide issue.  Does this happen to all spaces on your site, or just this particular one?  Is this space "large"?  Are you the only one on your site that gets this error, or do other users have the same issue with that same space?

I found this issue reported at Atlassian's Jira site, it's not exactly the same, but reading the comments, it's pretty close.  CONFCLOUD-36883

If that sounds plausible, please vote for and watch it for updates.
