Exclude specific users from analytics metrics?

Erin Manuel March 27, 2024

I'm a Confluence admin who manages our content in Confluence. My activity on pages, especially views, really skews our analytics numbers and messes with archiving parameters. This causes some of our pages to be falsely "up to date" because I've viewed them to review them, troubleshoot, etc.

Is there a way in the cloud to exclude a user from analytics metrics?

Hi @Erin Manuel

Natively, I don't believe there is an option to exclude users from the metrics.

An alternative would be to export the data to CSV, then exclude yourself - and review the data this way? You can see options to export the data on these help pages (top two topics)

You could also raise a feature request for this - do so from here: https://jira.atlassian.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

Aside from this, some Apps might be able to do this - such as Viewtracker - Analytics for Confluence, or another App from the Marketplace
