Hello everyone,

I have a problem with the area settings regarding guests. I have created a guest in the Atlassian administration who is also stored in the "Confluence-guests" group.
I would now like to invite this guest to join me in a space. However, when I press save, I always get the error message "A problem occurred while saving the change".

I am Org. admin and project admin. Therefore, I actually have all the rights to add a user / guest.

Do you know what the problem could be? Many thanks in advance.

Hi @Helena Giess

Welcome to the community.

Have you taken te steps as outlined in the documentation article?

You can only specify the group for guests on a space, not individual guests.

Hi @Marc - Devoteam

I have a similar issue as Helena.

I already created a guest in our confluence, I gave access to a confluence space for this user back in August 2023.

But when giving access to a second space now, I receive also the error message "We ran into a problem saving the changes".

Is it a new requirement in the documentation article?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Kerstin Schoth

Welcome to the community.

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm not from Atlassian so I can't tell you exactly.
