Enter Date - Time Stamp in Confluence?

Matt Uebel August 13, 2013

As I am working on a project log or the like, I would want to be able to enter date/time stamps as I move along. In onenote this can be accomlished with ALT + SHIFT + F.

Is there a similar hotkey in Confluence?

This functionality does not exist, and was closed with lack of interest, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-12739

A similar feature request (mediawiki signatures) was rejected, https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-26308 and I am not aware of any such plans to implement a feature like that.

You can try commenting on the issues and @mentioning the product lead who closed them, but I wouldn't expect such a lowely requested feature. You may want to develop it yourself, the rich editor is easy to extend!

This was the exact reason why I was on Answers as well. A simple hotkey to that will enter date/time will be very useful.
