Embedding existing diagrams.net image not displaying in Confluence

Pip Weaver May 3, 2022
  • Image in diagrams.net set to anyone with a link can view.
  • Image is in a standard Google Drive open to anyone with a link
  • I have tried embedding the image directly as an existing image
  • Have also tried adding new Diagram.net embed then copying the image in.
  • Both times the diagram shows for me, but no one else can view they get "Cannot read <insert file name here> file from Google drive
  • Have tried creating the embedded page in another part of our confluence with same result.

Solved my own problem.  Turns out google was lying.  the document showed in my GDrive and I uploaded from my GDrive but must in fact not have been there.  I created a copy of the doc making sure it was saved in Google drive and it worked first time.  Thanks for the help though.
