Does confluence support an image repository like Github?

SunilJ October 3, 2019

I am trying to create a user guide on confluence and I would like to have an image repository with a proper folder structure.  Just like Github or SVN. Is it possible with Confluence?

I want to overwrite an image and it should change wherever it is referenced on the confluence pages. And also, revert changes some times. Is it even possible with confluence?

Hello Sunil,

Welcome to Atlassian Community! It's nice to have you.

You would need to use a 3rd party add-on to provide that sort of functionality to Confluence. You can find a list of those at Atlassian Marketplace.

For your question, I'm not sure if you're asking in terms of your earlier question, or if you'er asking about the general functionality of Confluence. I'll answer for the latter.

If you overwrite an image attached on a page in Confluence, the page will automatically display the new version, so long as the attachment name is the same. You can revert changes using the the page history view.

I hope that's clear, but do let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Shannon
