Does anyone knows if Universal Plugin Manager works for Confluence 5.8.5?

We are going to upgrade our Confluence to newest version (5.8.5) and on UPM releases page is information that newest UPM (v.2.18.5) is compatible only for:

Version 2.18.5  JIRA Server 6.1 - 6.4.7,
Confluence Server 5.1 - 5.7.4,
Bamboo Server 5.4 - 5.8.2,
Stash 3.2.4 - 3.10.2
  Released 2015-05-19

My question is: if and how UPM works for Confluence v. 5.8.5?

Thanks in advance,

The version that is bundled into 5.8 works fine with it.
