Display Confluence version in footer

Clayton McGuire August 9, 2012

Hi,

The footer on my page says "Powered by Atlassian Confluence", but doesn't tell me which version I'm running. Although there is a lot of documentation available for Confluence, without knowing what version I'm on it's hard to know which doco I should be referring to.

I've seen the version displayed in the footer on other sites - is this hardcoded into the template or is there automated functionality that I can drop in to display version information?

You can add $generalUtil.versionNumber in the Main Layout (Confluence Admin > Layouts). By default, it's actually included in <confluence-install>/confluence/decorators/includes/footer-content.vm
