Database View- Information copying to new view

Katie Navrude February 3, 2025

I'm trying to use the Confluence Database structure as a tracking report. I made separate 'Views' for each month. I just went to switch to the next month and see that all information that was input into the previous month (view), was duplicated over. Is there a way to disable that so I can have different information input on each 'View'?

Hi @Katie Navrude ,

Could you maybe share a bit more information on how your database is currently structured (e.g. which fields and types you have) as well as how each view is configured - which filters are you using?

Generally speaking, the database will always contain all entries but views will just filter out specific data based on the criteria used. So, potentially, you would just need to configure filters for each month/view and you should be good to go.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi @Tomislav Tobijas _Koios_ ,

I had not been using filters which actually fixed my problem. Thank you for gearing me to the right direction!

Many thanks,

Katie
