Cross page protocol spec variables

I have a need to maintain documentation for protocol specs that include various numbers, timings, prices, etc that cross pages - is there a nice way to handle this? 

I want something like a variables document that can have specific values accessed from other documents. Something like MAX_LEASE_PERIOD could be accessed to display a variable. Ideally mathematical ops can be done with them as well.
