Creating sub-pages under correct page

David Nigh December 17, 2020

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to create a page under  the root of "Pages", but when I press "create", it always defaults to creating the page under "about kepler / team member handbook".

I also sometimes see my subpages displayed in the left pane, and sometimes I don't:

Any help would be great, thanks!

If you are in the context of a page when you hit "create", Confluence assumes the new page should be a child of the current one.  If you do it when there is no page context, it has to assume something, and that is the "home" page for the space.

You'll need to create the page and then move it up a level in the tree, so it lives alongside the home page as another root for the space.
