Hi,
I am struggling to get a Blog to work as I need it to work. I have set up a news space, haven given anonymous acces to that space, created blog posts and set the accessiblity to everyone.
Additionally I created a public link to that blog space.
But whenever I open the link from external ( i.e. my private Computer) I get to see this:
Which says something like "I dont have the rights, to the see that content". If I use the same public link on my work station, where I also have an Atlassian Acount, I get the following message:
Confluence is a really nice tool, but it is a hard pain in the ass when it comes to specifics and details. It is quite unintuitive to achieve a simple thing like a public blog.
I hope somebody can help me.
Yours
David
Hi @teusner
this might be a silly question but have you also checked the global permissions in the confluence administration section?
Best,
Lars
Hi @Lars Barthel ,
yes, since I have another Confluence space, that is public. Either through a direct link or a public link. Only the Blog posts are not visible.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Good..it is easier to leave one space in Confluence completely open to the public, and then keep your blog posts on that.
If this is what you have done by now, then you would need to turn on anonymous access for the entire space, here is more information on anonymous view
Share a space externally with anonymous access | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support
The final step: lock any other pages within the space that do not need to be public.
This is a lot of work, so if you do not want an entire space to be public and you don't want to have to restrict pages one at a time, then your other solution would be an add-on.
The best approach is to make one space exclusively for blogposts, and then don't open up any of the other spaces. Otherwise, it's really a lot of work for you.
I hope that helps, but let me know if you have any questions about it.

And that exactly is why I am so irritated. I gave complete access to view everything in the new Blog Space and all I get are the above sent screenshots.
