Dear all,

In our confluence instance we have around 250 spaces.
Actually what we need to do is to :

  1. create 3 new local group
  2. for each space add those 3 groups with specified permission

Doing this manually can be done of course but going into each space is a big amount of work and we try to find out how could we handle this automatically using API

Any of you have run against this scenario and could share a starting solution ?

regards

HI @serge calderara ,

In my experience this is not a common case as this creates lots of groups and overhead to manage. It creates this added process of removing and creating new groups each time a new space is created. Perhaps may look into a way to simplify grouping by departments or functions. Some way where you wouldn't have to create groups per space rather create a group for multiple spaces.

If you do decide to do it by API. Here's the the API documentation.
