Create Smartlink that combines anchor and table filter URL

I am using the table toolbox macro filter functionality to filter data dynamically returned from Jira.  This data appears is separate sections of a rather large confluence page.  Each section has an anchor that I can jump to depending on user need from a table of contents section.

I would like to create a link where users can jump to the section they need with the data already filtered.

For example, if there is a section for work assigned to a specific team, I would like an overview section where the user can just select a link that will jump to the work assigned section for Team A.

I have tried various ways to combine both URLs and cannot figure it out.

Assistance is much appreciated!

Hi @Maria Del Rosario Gonzalez ,

You may try the Copy filter URL option of the Table Filter macro: https://docs.stiltsoft.com/tfac/cloud/how-to-export-macros-and-results-42239877.html#Howtoexportmacrosandresults-SharingfilterURLwithcolleagues

You can save several URLs (several filter views), paste these links wherever it is convenient on the page, rename them in a user-friendly way (or even use, for example, Handy Buttons to create buttons with links) - once your users click on the links, they will be redirected to the corresponding table with pre-saved filter settings.

Hello Stiltsoft support - I have used the Copy filter URL option of the Table filter but unfortunately, it does not navigate to the section on my Confluence page.  It does filter the data but users still need to navigate to the section so it's only part of the solution.

Do you know of a way to include the anchor tag as part of the URL?

Thanks again for your prompt response!

We don't think that the anchor link and the Copy filter URL link can be merged into one object, the anchor won't be functional then.

You may still use both: use anchors to navigate to the required sections and place the Copy filter URLs links before the corresponding tables.

I mean, at first your user enters a page and sees several anchors at the top. Then they navigate to a specific section via the anchor - there they see, for example, 3 variants of the Copy filter URLs. When clicking on them, they will get several filter views. And the page will not be scrolled back to the beginning, they will stay in that section.

Darn!  I was hoping I was missing something and there was a way to merge anchor link and the Copy Filter URL into a single link.

I will just use the latter then and notify folks they need to page to the desired section.

I unfortunately don't have the Handy Buttons in our instance but will discuss with our tools team.

Thanks again as always for your support!
