Confluence popup for installing Confluence app

Jim Holcomb June 27, 2022

We have one user getting this prompt when she tries to go to a link in Confluence. No way to get around it except by clicking OK and we've trained our users to be careful about these things.

She's cleared her cookies, tried incognito mode, disabled extensions and still gets it. I need to verify this is an intended popup.

I had the same pop up happen to me today! I am a full blown admin, so far I am the only one to get that today in our company. The QR did take me to the official Confluence app to download.

Hi @Jim Holcomb

This really looks like a Confluence Cloud popup... Even if I can't find documentation about that at all. I'm 100% sure its coming from Confluence Cloud.

But if she is the only one user to get this popup, there is a problem on her local laptop and browser. Maybe dark mode is activated on her browser: try another browser maybe and see if this popup still appears...

I'm sorry I can't help much more here. I never saw this popup on all my Confluence Cloud site.

Cheers,
Dam.
