You'll need to tell us what the error messages are, or what the symptoms of "can not edit" are if you want our help.
But it would probably be better to talk to your Confluence admins. The most common cause of "can not edit" (which will have the symptom of "no edit icon available at the top of the page") is permissions, which your admins will need to fix.
