Hello,

a picture gallery is integrated in a confluence space. The image files are all stored under attachments. The images are not currently labelled.

Now we want to create several galleries in the space. Is it possible to select the images via ‘include these images only’ using wildcards?

For example: Gallery1-> gallery1*.jpg

Kind regards

Marcus

@Barbara Szczesniak :

Thanks for your quick reply! This answers my question.

As a suggestion: adding wildcards for selecting images would be a helpful feature

or at least a possibility to select several files at once and then assign a label for all selected ones.

Kind regards

Marcus

@marcus.hohloechter Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Looking at the page for the Gallery macro (https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-gallery-macro/), I note a few things:

  • By default, the macro displays images from files attached to the page you insert the macro on. You can specify other pages—by listing them individually in the Use Images in these Pages parameter—you cannot specify an entire space.
  • There is no way to use a wildcard in the Include these Images Only parameter—you have to list each individual file name.
  • You can get around this by adding labels to each attachment and using the Include Images with these Labels Only parameter
