Confluence header (where you enter login credentials) missing after upgrade Edited

Upgraded from 6.15 to 7.0.2, now when I launch Confluence I get the following at the top of the page:

$soyTemplateRendererHelper.getRenderedTemplateHtml("com.atlassian.auiplugin:aui-experimental-soy-templates", "", $templateParameters)

and can't log in because the header is missing.

UPDATE:  Was able to get this resolved.

Who knows? You may help someone avoid an unwarranted headache with a few simple steps on how you did it!
