Hello everyone,
I've been trying to test our backups for Confluence on a test site but have been running into problems. Namely, after a successful upload of a full-site export from our production site, the import fails at 0% after a long time, with no helpful error message. The test instance is a free site, and our production instance uses standard pricing.
Most posts tell me to check the size of the XML file in the zipped export data, but there is no XML file in the full site export, only when individual spaces are exported do we get an XML file.
If anyone could help me figure out what's going wrong here, that would be a great help.
Thanks!
Hi @Benjamin Bateman and welcome to the community.
Site backup contains data that are not compatible with Free Confluence - permissions, for example.

Other than that:

I think importing individual spaces would work better.
Thanks for the heads up, I think that probably is the case then. I'll see if we can get a second standard-tier site up and running so we can test the import.

Hi Benjamin - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Just checking to be sure, but both sites are Cloud?

This may be a matter of small probability. I would recommend asking Atlassian Support.
Atlassian support team might be able to get more comprehensive information to deal with the problem, whereas it's hard for users in the community to deduce what problem you're having.
