Confluence Create button

I want the default Create button to be able to create a new blog post when the user has the Blog marked in the page tree. And when Blog is not marked it should  create a default page.

You will need to amend the core code that provides the menu.

I know that I can change the "Create" button to either make a default page or new blog post. But I want the button to be smart and be able to figure out that when im in the blog tree it should make a new blog post.

I'm pretty sure you could do that, but you will need to do it in the core menu code.
