So, the issue at hand is that we use a page property report to list a table of documents and be able to search through those documents. A major issue we have found with this method is that if the document title or page properties are edited at all, BEFORE going through an approval workflow, then the main library table (page property report) is also updated. This is a huge issue with not being able to stop erroneous or unauthorized changes.
A solution we have found to this is to use a secondary page property within each document that is hidden. Upon document creation and every time the document has gone through an approval workflow the primary page property is copied over to the secondary. We have been accomplishing this via metadata macros.
Now, the big issue here is that all text formatting is completely removed when copying over via metadata macros. We have a line break after each page property entry when helps with formatting and filtering. This line break is removed entirely when transferring to a metadata variable.
Is there any other way to copy over the primary page properties over to a secondary page property?
EDIT: I have been looking into API usage and was wondering if anyone has any experience using API with Comala. If I tag a unique ID to the primary and secondary page properties maybe I can do a direct copy without having to go through the metadata macro

Hi @Kevin Kott ,
I know about the app but I haven't used it yet. I'm not sure if anyone from Appfire is here to give you a hand on this. If not, I would recommend reaching out to the vendor directly via their service desk. I've found that almost all vendors are quite helpful when it comes to any kind of questions related to their apps.
Hope you'll get this sorted out.
Cheers,
Tobi
