This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Tables
I have a column for a description and Confluence is only a height of two lines (no wrap to third) which is making all the other columns really narrow. How do I limit the width of the column so others can be wide enough to hold information?
The Table Plus macro will work for Confluence Server, but not for Confluence Cloud. However, it is expected that this feature (fixed column width for tables) will be available for Confluence Cloud in May (approximately):
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-3393
I wonder if we are answering the wrong question. I have been able to use the tables without added macros for a wide variety of use cases in our larger company (hundreds of Confluence spaces) for almost 10 years, and while I look forward to the column width controls as do many, the 'wide enough to hold information' issue, if taken literally, is not a concern because column width expands to hold entered information.
Can you clarify what you are looking to do, perhaps with a screenshot? That may help me or others help you. For example, there are workarounds depending upon what you are looking to do.
