Change the behavior of diff to only show page changes

Jason Sheneman December 4, 2019

The current diff behavior in Confluence (comparing two page versions) shows the entire pages with the changes highlighted.   In larger pages this can make it difficult to find them all (especially minor changes).   Is there a way to get diff to only show the highlighted changed lines instead of the entire page?   Also, is there a way to jump from change to change instead of just scrolling through and hoping you see them all?

Hello Jason,

Thank you for raising these suggestions with us. As I understand, these features have been suggested in the past, but it appears that we don't have plans to implement them in the future:

  • CONFSERVER-53594 Page History: Ability to compare multiple versions and quickly see differences
  • CONFSERVER-30572 Page History/Comparison - add ability to jump to next change/diff in a page

Thank you for your understanding.

Regards,

Shannon
