Can we create a new page in Discussion Forum from a JIRA Service Desk ticket through automation?

Hi,

I am exploring options to transition a request/query posted on JIRA Service Desk to a new post on Discussion Forums. Both of these being on Atlassian server platforms, I was wondering if I could set up an automation to see this through.

I understand a way of triggering a Scriptrunner mentioned in the SRCONF-1511 thread, but checking if there are other ways.

Usually these kind of requests are handled by the applications like ScriptRunner, which enables you to send a request to the Confluence's REST API. Sometimes there are easier ways, but it depends on the application. Please, which application do you use for discussion forums in the Confluence?
