Can't create software-project space with a space key modified

David Rodriguez Ruiz June 9, 2016

Hi,

I can't create a software-project in confluence 1000.119.0.

I change the space key that it suggest because it already exists and it open a dialog like this:

We can't create that blueprint right now.

Invalid space key: null

Can anybody help me with this? I did'nt find documentation related.

P.D. Changing our JIRA Projects names it's not a solution.

ok we are at 5/21/2021 and this issue still persist. How can it be going on this long? I just encountered the same issue.

I had the same issue, was using Chrome then tried Firefox but problem still existed. The workaround I found was to create under a different Space Name (I just rearranged the letters), then once it was created, I went into the details of the space "Edit Space Details" and renamed it to what i wanted it to be called in the first place.

Seemed to work, hope this helps.

This worked for me as well - just remember to change the Space Name *after* changing the Space Key.

The bug still exists. Just created a project space with IE, that was not possible to create with Chrome.

Sounds like you need to pick a new unused key?

David Rodriguez Ruiz June 10, 2016

That's not the problem...

It seem to be a Chrome problem.. it can't read the space key once we edit it.

Whatever unused space key I write in chrome it would show the invalid space key null.

Ah, ok.  I'd log this with Atlassian as a Chrome related bug.

It happens with Chrome.

I could do it with Firefox.
