Can I program the search box to only search the currently active space?

I am on a large corporate site with hundreds of spaces and hundreds of thousands of pages.  I want to program the search results for my space to be limited to my space showing the most recently changed pages first.

I think, you can't change the main search box. We added the livesearch-macro to the space's sidebar and configured it with the spacekey where it should search.

Maybe this is an option for you.

Hi Kate,

The Search Box macro settings can be set to limit results by space.  Here's what it looks like in my instance of Server:

On the other hand, if you're referring to the search box in the toolbar at the top, results can be filtered via the panel on the left-hand side of the results page.  I don't know of a way to set a default space for the quick search function, though.

But don't forget: the searchbox macro is part of a paid app.

That's a good distinction to make.  I thought this macro was included in Cloud, but Kate's other post is tagged with Server, and it's definitely a paid app for that.
