I would like to update the name of a document based on information from a table in the document itself. Example: I have document titled 'SOP-001-v01 Process for doing the thing" and in this document I have a table with Document Type: SOP, Serial number: 001, version number: v01, Document title: Process for doing the thing. I would like the document to automatically update when I update the version number and/or title.
Similarly, I would like to have fields in other documents that lookup information from another document. Example: I have a table documenting the current configuration of SOPs and I would like this to automatically look at field Version number (in above example) in a different document to update the version number automatically.
Are either of these things possible (natively in Confluence or with an add-on)? I am using Comala Document Management add-on if that is useful.
We do not currently have this capability in Comala Document Management Cloud (or Server / DC). As @Davin Studer indicates there is no easy way to automatically update the page title.
Perhaps you could explore using Confluence Templates and Page Properties macro with a Page Properties Report to list your SOPs
For your versioning requirements you might want to explore K15t Scroll Documents to see if it fits. @David Majninger _K15t_ may be able to comment further.
All the best
