Bug - Slash commands don't work when replacing placeholder text

Confluence (Cloud)

For templates with placeholder text, I'm seeing a bug where slash commands are inactive when first replacing the text.

i.e.

  1. User clicks on the line with the placeholder text
  2. Starts typing a slash command e.g. "/t"
  3. The usual popup box of suggested commands does not appear, and the command is not carried out
  4. User deletes the types text "/t" and starts to type it again
  5. Popup appears as usual and e.g. /table can be selected and inserted.

I've also just realised that this only affects custom made templates using the "Placeholder Text" macro, the default templates allow use of slash commands on their placeholder text immediately.

@Joe MullerNot sure if that is the cause of your issue, but slash commands usually start with '/' and not '\'.

Yup that's my mistake, I've edited the question to correct that, cheers
