When I type a JIra Key in the confluence page, I want it to create a link to the JIra item automatically.

I type MYPOJ-22, and I get link showing the type icon, the summary, and the status.

How do I get this working

@Tony Nathan Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

I think that, when you simply type text that happens to be the ID of a Jira item, there's no way for Confluence to know that it's a Jira reference and not just random text.

I don't know the IDs of Jira items off the top of my head, so the way I insert such links is:

  1. Display the item in a board or list in Jira.
  2. Right-click the ID and select Copy Link.
  3. Paste the link in my Confluence page.

By default, it is inserted as an Inline link, which includes the icon, summary, and status.

If you want to insert a table of Jira items, you could use the Jira Issues macro (see https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-jira-issues-macro/).
