The way Confluence has set my defaults on my wiki's table forces it off the page by about half another screen. Is there a way I can either assign widths to my columns or affect the text (without having to manually install wraps, I have over 100 rows) so that I could control the width of each column?
Hi Jo,
Unfortunately, I don't think you can assign widths to columns in confluence. Please see this bug filed here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-1398
Another user had a similar issue on this forum (see here: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/24705/basic-table-formatting-in-confluence-4-0) and a workaround that was suggested was to use sections and columns to create a table structure and set widths on the columns there....
Sorry -
Alex
Thank you. I appreciate the response. It might be something to work on in future versions, it certainly exists in HTML easily enough.
Unfortunately the section solution isn't going to work for what we need. May have to switch to a Googledoc (which I'd rather avoid).
