We're heavy users of Gliffy, recently the copy/paste between diagrams has just flat out stopped working.
This severely hinders our architecture work.
Everyone in the office that has tried this recently has run into the same issues (it just doesn't work). More-so if the thing we copied contains an image. Trying to copy/paste within a diagram anything that contains an image doesn't copy the image.
(The above shows the result [right] of pasting everything on the left -- within the same Gliffy diagram. Across diagrams you don't even get the circles, just a console log saying "No copyCommand for pasteCommand to execute!").
Wondering if others out there are having problems.
I'd report an issue but Confluence makes it rather unclear where you are supposed to do that.
Closing out the question.
This (and other information listed in the thread) were Gliffy bugs that have been fixed.
We are having this exact issue in our Confluence cloud installation today. But it is a bit worse, no objects can be copy/pasted from one Gliffy to another Gliffy.
Can anyone try this copy/paste across different Gifflies and check please?
PS: We do have also a Confluence Data center version, and it is unaffected.
Cheers
Stefano

That's one of the bugs I logged (of the 3 issues I've found) and Gliffy has acknowledge.
Something changed where the clipboard has been restricted to be within each diagram. Which prevents copying / pasting between diagrams.
Which we do all the time in our technical diagrams. So it's been a big frustration.
The other two bugs that I logged with Gliffy were:

@Samie Kaufman - Your Gal at Gliffy Any idea on timing for a fix to the above copy/paste issue from Gliffy? It is indeed problematic to lose this capability.

Hi @stvi ! I'm checking with the team! It is a high priority bug and I know it is being addressed in our current sprint, but not sure on progress as I'm on the marketing side of things. Please stay tuned!

Hi @stvi and @tmashinter — confirming that a fix for this will be available in our next release! Should be a matter of days as we want to get updates out before the holidays. I will ping you again when that's available. :)

Well it's clear an update dropped the other day. There is a new "Share" button next to the Publish one.
The copy/paste issues between diagrams and layer issue within grouped items is working again.
Unfortunately, it brought with it a super aggravating issue where it refreshes your diagram regularly and when doing so, messes it up (lines and object sizes get out of whack). I've been finding myself making the same edits many times within the same diagram because Gliffy's "auto refresh" keeps breaking it.
This happens even to a diagram I enter to edit, it'll load it for edit incorrectly, messing up objects.
You can reproduce this by just opening a diagram in a tab. Switching to a different tab and then going back. The refresh will occur each time. If you make edits in between some of those edits seem to not be "remembered".
Time to look into draw.io.

The new issue is way more irratating than the last bunch. I'd highly suggest a rollback and encourage the team to test the product before releasing.
I just spent 30 minutes fighting the tool to keep changes that should have taken me 2 minutes.
The tool is largely unusable in it's current state, it's more likely to mess up my diagrams than anything else.

Hi @tmashinter , just getting caught up. I'm really sorry the latest release caused additional issues. I've pinged our team on everything described above, just in case you haven't relayed these details to the support team.
I'll have a further update for you tomorrow. Appreciate your patience!

Our internal IT staff also submitted something to them with more specific details on re-production.

Amazing! Thanks @tmashinter — I'm hearing from the team that they've addressed issues with that "refresh" behavior and are targeting another release tomorrow. It sounds like your team's feedback has been really helpful.

Hi @tmashinter ! Our update released today should address some issues with having the same diagram open across multiple tabs — I hope your user experience is back on track. 🤞
As I mentioned, your feedback has helped our team appropriately prioritize some of our known issues as we've worked on a major feature release. If we're still not delivering the diagramming experience your team needs, I hope you'll continue your dialog with our support team.
Thanks again! :)

Edit: We migrated away. For balance, Gliffy worked well for a long time for us and I hope you guys recover from these issues. But your testing is well short of what is needed.

Back from the holidays, so my Gliffy-ing will be ramping up again.
If I encounter more/new issues, is there a better place to capture the information rather than just continuing to tack onto this "question"?

Welcome back and happy new year, @tmashinter !
That's a really thoughtful question — thank you. A few key members of our PM team are still on holiday, but given the depth and detail of your feedback, I'm wondering if you'd like to do a debrief directly with them when they're back into the office? If so, you can email me at skaufman@perforce.com and I can get that set up. :)
Otherwise, continuing to engage with our support team as you have been is really appreciated and they have the technical expertise to really move things forward! That said, I never mind checking in here because I want everyone looking for a solution to see that it's being addressed. So, whatever you prefer!

Hi @tmashinter !
I'm a member of the Gliffy marketing team so I can't offer direct support, but I really appreciate all the detail you've captured here!
You mentioned that you logged a bug with the Gliffy team, so I'm assuming you're in touch with our support folks at support@gliffy.com. If not, that would be the best email to use to reach out to the team. :)

Yes.
I logged 3 bugs actually.
I got an automated message from an individual that asked me for the same info I originally provided in the support request. Which I repeated.
Have not heard anything back yet. So unaware of any traction on this.

Thanks for being so on top of it! I do know we're catching up after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, so appreciate your patience. :)

From a "question" perspective. The answer is "Gliffy Bug".
Gliffy doesn't seem to have a public bug registry I can reference for the support case I created. So I cannot offer a link in here.
For visibility, I'll keep the "further details" post up to date as I collect more information incase it helps someone else.

Further Details
As I continue my daily confluence work, I've been finding more nuances to this issue.
I've logged a bug with Gliffy. Something was clearly released there that impacted the layer order.
This doesn't explain copying between diagrams.
