Anonymous RSS feed

johnt January 13, 2012

I need to create public/anonymous RSS feeds in confluence. When using the feed builder it does not give me the option to choose my authentication preference, it is default to "basic - auth". Advanced options do not provide me with enabling anyonmous access.

How can I create publi/anonymous RSS feeds?

Confluence Version 4.0
Build Number 3047

Hi, you should be able to create an anonymous feed by leaving it set to basic -auth, but then removing &auth_Type=basic from the generated feed URL or by modifying configurerssfeed.vm. Details available in the footnotes of http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Using+the+RSS+Feed+Builder and https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-21601. Hope that helps, Andrew.
