I decided to use Project management type of project in Jira.

I'm trying to add Timeline to be visible on my Confluence page (Timeline looks similar to Roadmap on other types of projects in jira).

There is a macro for Roadmap but when I try to use it, I can't find my Project on Jira project list.

Is there any other way to make Timeline visible on Confluence?

Hello @Kasia Cwynar,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

The Timeline feature that is available on Jira Work Management projects, currently, doesn’t have a macro to be used on Confluence.

The Roadmap macro only works for Jira Software projects, that’s why your project won’t show in the list.

There is a feature request suggesting the implementation of this ability:

Please, click on vote and also watch the ticket above to receive updates from our product managers.

Kind regards,
Angélica

I have voted on this issue and am watching it. I suggest others should do the same. We need to have feature parity on this one. We need to be able to visualize our Work Management projects in Confluence.

@Kasia Cwynar

Hello. I've tried to paste the URL link of the Timeline page in Jira and it worked in my Confluence page.

Hope it worked and it is what you're expecting.

Regards!

Hi @Mark Saludares

I believe you attempted to pull a project created in Jira Software rather than Jira Work Management. The issue is that the Jira timeline macro currently only supports Jira Software projects, not Jira Work Management.

Cheers!

Hi @Kasia Cwynar

The macro you are referring to is "Jira Roadmap Macro" and the project you are trying to include is a "Team-managed project"?
If so, you must make sure you have access to the project and configure the macro as follows including the URL of the project site, selecting the project you want to include and the board.

Make sure that the access to the project is correct, otherwise it will not appear in the drop-down to select it:

Project Access - Team managed project.PNG
I hope it helps you, greetings
