A deleted area does not disappear???

Hallo,

I deleted an empty area for the umpteenth time, but it still appears in my area directory. The area has no pages.

How do I get this area removed from all views?

Are you trying to delete an empty space in Confluence? What happens after you press "Delete this space" in the space settings?

I get a error message "no task"

If I start the space, than I get the message "No Homesite"

I'm not sure if it influences the deletion of the space in this case. But you could try to add a page and make it the homepage of the space.

Can you please add a screenshot of the error message here? The problem often seems to be temporary. So maybe give it some time and if it doesn't resolve itself, we escalate your posting here. :)
