Using Confluence new editor

Hi community members,

Our organization is quite annoyed with the many helpful features and macros that were present in the old editor but are absent in the new editor. I wanted to know from other users, how are you dealing with this frustrating change?

1. Has anybody changed to old editor? If yes, what is the procedure and does it impact the existing confluence content and affect the users?

2. Has anybody switched to other tool? If yes, can you recommend a good tool and does it provide options similar to ones in old legacy editor?
Mainly, for example, inserting tables, info, macros in the numbered lists, hiding table borders, section macros, excerpt macros etc.

3. Our need is to make the structure and formatting good looking and appealing, not just block of text.

We urgently need to take a decision on this, so please suggest a way out.

Thanks,

Pradnya
