Create from Template button not working after copying page

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a page in Space X.  Add a Create from Template button to the page that points to a global template (blueprint).
2. Copy page to Space Y. 
3. Click on the Create from Template button.
4. New page will be created in Space X.

Workaround

1. Create a page in Space X.  Add a Create from Template button to the page that points to a global template (blueprint).
2. Copy page to Space Y. 
3. Edit the page.
4. Edit the button.  (You don't need to modify anything...you just need to click edit.)
5. Save the button.
6. Publish the page.  (Note that you haven't changed anything really....)
7. Click on the Create from Template button.
8. New page will be properly created in Space Y

Question:

1. Is this a known bug in Confluence or am I doing something wrong?
2. If it's a known bug, is Atlassian going to fix it?  I see this issue has been around for years in the community discussions......
