Auto Update in Page Properties

Casey Shaeffer March 2, 2022

How do I get the Page Properties macro at the bottom of the page to update a field (STATUS) when I change that status in a table in the upper part of the page?

I want to update field 1 in the project table and have field 2 (in page properties) auto update.

How do I do this?

Hi @Casey Shaeffer

You should be able to achieve that by using the page properties macro for your project table and the page properties report macro for your second table.

The second table will then report the status you have set in your projects table. Here you can read more about confluences page properties macro.

In case this in-build pp macro might not be enough, you might also want to check out my company's app Orderly Databases, which we consider "Page Properties on Steroids", it also allows you to reference the same table (we call them databases) on multiple pages.

It's free for up to 10 users.

Cheers,
Robert

And if you use our Table Filter and Charts for Confluence app and need to reuse/collect multiple-row tables (the Page Properties Report macro collects only one-row tables), you may consider the Table Excerpt/Table Excerpt Include macros.
