Seeking Feedback on 'All Content' Feature in Confluence

Hello all,

I'm Christian, a Product Manager on the Confluence team, and I'm reaching out to gather insights on the 'All Content' feature in the Confluence side navigation. We're eager to understand how this feature is being utilized and how it can be improved to better serve your needs.

Here are some specific questions I'd love to get your thoughts on:

  1. How do you currently use the 'All Content' feature in your daily workflow?

  2. What are the main benefits you experience from using this feature?

  3. Are there any challenges or limitations you've encountered with the 'All Content' feature?

  4. How does the 'All Content' feature compare to other navigation/search tools you use within Confluence?

I'm looking to jumping on a call to discuss your use cases in more detail.

I never use it. Almost forgot it exists. I use Recent in menu:

Why would I open a new page, an extra click and a new page has to load. Slower.

Start with Content, this is what is the most important:

I never use it and clicked on it for the first time after reading this post. I don't see myself using it as the way the content is laid out just isn't my style of navigation.

I prefer to look through my list of content in the left side content tree section or search for something specific in the search bar.

I dont use it and as soon as I saw it after migrating from Server, I went to the Space Settings to try to remove it. It's just noise.

Hi,

Pretty much like everyone else here, I think I used it once or twice in total. My preferred way of searching for pages is via the global search bar, although most recently, I also searched the content within space by title in space pages tree view.

  • I sometimes use this when walking through space content with SMEs to show them scale of their space.
  • It can be useful for quickly finding content with unlicensed owners.
  • Would be great to see who last updated a document shown (not just date of update).

Same here, it’s no use for me.
I stick to the old-fashioned navigation style with folders, and that’s it.

I'll join the choir here.
I had completely forgotten this existed, and has never used it before.
Neither have I talked to my fellow site/product admins about it, or told new users about it when onboarding them.

After having had a look at it I see that it doesn't do anything we can't do just as well, or better, just from the content tree.

Thanks for the feedback @Shelley Duncan , @Rune Rasmussen ! What is your current approach to finding content in a specific space?

@Christian Martinez - I normally search for everything using the global search at the top. If I'm struggling to find something, I will use the Recent tab. My comments to users is if they can't find a page easily, my page naming convention for the page must need to be modified. Where we have topics which are called by various names by different users. I utilise labels. Occasionally I will use the Home tab.

I see you now have the space specific searching in the sidebar, which is great. In Server version, I did a little customisation to include that in the sidebar, so good to see it now, although the greyed out text would be better off saying 'Search this Space'.
