New content management insights on mission control! (Premium + Enterprise editions only)

Hi Confluence admins,

John here with another update: we've added two new insights to Confluence mission control to support your efforts in monitoring the health of your site's content and taking action to manage it!

What is it

We've added two new charts to mission control:

• The # of active pages in your site that are inactive (with 'inactive' being defined as having no views, edits, or comments in the last 6 months)
  
  
• The # of active pages in your site that where the page owner is an inactive user

In addition, we've also added leaderboards for both new insights, helping you to drill down from the site-level data and identify which spaces' content is in most need of a cleanup in that respective area.

How to use it

First, navigate to Confluence mission control by clicking on the settings wheel in the top right of the top nav bar:

Now, once you're reached mission control, scroll down until you reach the Content Management section. Here, you'll see the two new insights:

• Inactive pages 
• Pages without active owners

When reviewing the leaderboards for the data points, you can either:

• Go straight to a space's Content Manager to use bulk actions and clean up that space's content by clicking on the check icon for that space
• Go to the space overview of the desired space by clicking on any other part of that space's row

FAQs

When will there be a mission control for at the space level?

We are actively working on a space-level mission control to support space admins, and plan to release this in the next few months.

Are more insights / alerts / controls coming to mission control?

Yes. We will be releasing two new insights with leaderboards in the next few weeks, and plan to continue to release many more enhancements to the feature over 2024 and beyond.

Which editions of Confluence Cloud is this available to?

Customers on our Premium and Enterprise editions only.

When can I start using this update?

The new insights have finished rolling out and are ready to use!
